The lived experience
On Crohn’s and colitis forums, patients describe living “tied to the toilet.” A 32-year-old man with ulcerative colitis wrote:
“I never go anywhere without planning the bathrooms first. Some days I run 10 times to the loo. It’s exhausting and makes socialising impossible.”
Loperamide is often prescribed but comes with risks: it only slows bowel movement and can increase the chance of complications like toxic megacolon during severe flares. It also doesn’t address urgency, one of the most disruptive symptoms.
ENTEROSGEL®: binding and cleansing, not slowing
ENTEROSGEL® is an oral intestinal adsorbent (enterosorbent) that works differently from anti-motility drugs. It binds and adsorbs inflammatory molecules, bile acids, and toxins, then removes them naturally through the stool.
⚛︎ Acts like a mop, sweeping away irritants from the gut lining.
⚛︎ Drug-free, tasteless, and safe for long-term use in IBD patients.
⚛︎ Safe for all ages, from newborns to the elderly, and even during pregnancy and breastfeeding — unlike loperamide and many IBD drugs.
⚛︎ Can be taken alongside other IBD treatments (keeping a 2-hour gap).
